Dental Implants

What Are Dental Implants?

Simply put, Dental Implants are replacement teeth designed to simulate an actual tooth root and placed within the jaw bone. Implants provide a strong foundation for replacement teeth and are an ideal option for patients looking for a permanent, natural looking restoration.

What Are the Advantages of Dental Implants?

Appearance: Dental Implants look and feel like your own teeth.

Comfort: Dentures can be uncomfortable and occasionally slip, making speaking and chewing uncomfortable for some denture wearers. Implants eliminate these nusiances.

Convenience: Dentures can be a hassle to constantly remove and clean day in a day out. Implants eliminate the the inconvenience of having to remove your dentures or deal with messy adhesives.

Oral Health: Implants are permanent and will not rot. Additionally, crowns and bridges require reducing adjacent teeth in order to support those types of restorations. Because adjacent teeth are left unaltered, long term oral health is improved.

Am I a Candidate for Dental Implants?

Each case is different, and Dr. Agatep would first have to examine your existing bone structure to make sure you are a good candidate for implants.
